"Both Merle and I thoroughly enjoyed the Conference... speakers were well versed in their own particular side of FEPOW life during and after the war, and it was also pleasant to hear so much laughter from the attending delegates without deterring from the serious side....I personally sensed that a certain camaraderie developed and friends were made......Everyone was exceedingly kind to us at the Conference and we made and met many friends and if you decide to hold another, we should be delighted to be present."
