Researching FEPOW History was established in 2005 with the aim of organising biennial conferences to aid those who are researching the experiences of ex-Far Eastern prisoners of war or internees.

The two-day conferences are staged at the National Memorial Arboretum at Alrewas in Staffordshire, home of the new FEPOW Memorial building, and aim to bring together family historians and professional researchers to learn from internationally renowned speakers in the field. Delegates and speakers are encouraged to share information.

The inaugural conference in April 2006 attracted delegates and speakers from around the world, click here for more information.

Responding to suggestions made following the first conference, we ran a one-day seminar specifically for beginners to FEPOW research, entitled 'How to Get Started' on 5 May 2007, click here for details.

The next conference was held in May 2008, click here for more information.
